A guided tour of the exhibition “…bude meškať asi 20 minút” by photographer Martin Matula was held 9.3. 2026 at the Slovak Press Photo Foundation Gallery, followed by a practical workshop with the author.
Martin Matula, the Young Talent of the Year 2025 of the SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO competition, introduced visitors to his photographic series created during his train travels. During the guided tour he spoke about the development of the project, his approach to documentary photography, and how everyday situations can transform into a visual story about waiting, movement and quiet moments experienced on the road.
The event continued with a hands-on workshop focused on creating a photographic zine and sewing a V1 book binding, where participants had the opportunity to produce their own small publication and gain insight into working with photographic material, editing and thinking about an authorial project.
The event was part of the accompanying programme of the exhibition and the educational activities of the Slovak Press Photo Foundation, which connect the presentation of photography with discussion, creative practice and direct encounters between artists and the public.
The exhibition “…bude meškať asi 20 minút” is open to the public at the Slovak Press Photo Foundation Gallery in Bratislava until 12 April 2026.
