Intensive workshop “Visualization of the climate crisis” November 21 – 24, 2022, Bratislava, Slovakia
From 21.11. to 24.11.2022, the SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO Foundation hosted a workshop for the V4 countries PL CZ SK HU led by Kadir van Lohuizen /Netherlands NL/ and Esther Horvath /Hungary HU/. The theme of the international workshop was the climate crisis. 12 photographers from the V4 countries participated in the workshop and have continued their visual stories after the workshop. The workshop was organized with the financial support of the Dutch Embassy in Slovakia. You can find out more in the video from the workshop.

Visualization of the Climate Crisis workshop was held in Bratislava from November 21 to November 24, 2022, in cooperation with SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO!
Final day of the workshop took place with the participation of the Dutch Ambassador, Gabriella Sancisi, to whom the participants presented their work.
Comeback session
The last meeting - COMEBACK SESSION of photographers and their mentor Kadir van Lohuizen took place at the SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO Foundation on 14th and 15th June 2023 as part of the international project Visualizing the Climate Crisis.
During the COMEBACK SESSION there were presentations of the final projects of the individual authors/photographers with a discussion on the topics related

The Climate Crisis is the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced. A delicate balance has been tipped over, unleashing a series of chain consequences the scale of which we are yet to grasp. As we witness the intensification of the crisis, we must come to terms with the fact that the complexity of the matter underscores a very simple fact: change is the only way forward. Acceptance, adaptation and mitigation are our only chances to thrive in an uncertain future.
