The Slovak Press Photo Foundation invites you to the exhibition of the Young Talent of the Year 2025, Martin Matula.

Martin Matula (2002) is currently a master’s student at the Studio of Contemporary Photography at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. In his work, he focuses on the intersection of documentary and conceptual approaches, exploring the atmosphere of spaces and the aesthetics of everyday life. His visual language is characterized by a sensitive use of light and a search for the genius loci in seemingly ordinary situations.
The artist will present the photographic series “…will be about 20 minutes late”, which captures the specific atmosphere of train spaces and the people he encounters during his journeys. The project is a visual record of in-between moments – moments of waiting, movement, and silence that create a distinctive image of everyday reality.
