On 1–2 August 2026, the SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO Foundation Gallery hosted a two-day workshop focused on the photo transfer technique, led by Academy of Fine Arts and Design (AFAD) students Vanesa Mináriková and Sonia Ščepánová.
The workshop began with an introduction to the creative possibilities of photo transfer, followed by a street photography session exploring the theme of the city. Guided by the workshop leaders, participants then selected their photographs and experimented with transferring them onto a variety of materials, including glass, textiles, and even bubble wrap. The second day was dedicated to finalising the artworks, installing them, and preparing a collective pop-up exhibition, which we proudly opened that evening in the gallery.
We were delighted by the creative atmosphere throughout the weekend. The participants approached the process with curiosity and openness, resulting in a collection of original and highly personal works.
