Portfolio Review with Maciek Nabrdalik (PL)

On 7–8 July 2026, the Slovak Press Photo Foundation welcomed Polish documentary photographer Maciek Nabrdalik (PL) to Bratislava, where he led this year's Portfolio Review for Slovak photographers.

During a series of individual consultations, participants had the opportunity to present their photographic projects and discuss them with one of Europe's leading contemporary documentary photographers. Maciek Nabrdalik provided each author with detailed feedback, shared insights from his international photographic practice, and offered valuable recommendations to help further develop their work.

We were delighted to welcome Maciek to Bratislava and create a space for personal meetings, professional discussions, and the exchange of experience between an internationally established photographer and the local photographic community.

The participating photographers were:

Dimitry T.,

Martin Kalina,

Tomáš Bulánek,

Robert Nemeti,

Marek Molnár,

Martin Mikláš,

Tomáš Baršváry,

Anna Horníková,

Vanesa Mináriková,

Nataša Bošková,

and Michal Hanko.

We would like to thank all participants for openly presenting their projects and for contributing to the inspiring atmosphere throughout the event.

Our sincere thanks go to Maciek Nabrdalik for his time, professionalism, and generosity in sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of photographers.

We would also like to thank our partners who helped make this event possible:

and the BKIS for providing outdoor seating through the Sadni si! project, which created a pleasant meeting space in the courtyard of the Slovak Press Photo Foundation.

The event was supported by the FPU and the International Visegrad Fund.
