Today, on May 27, 2026, a press conference marking the official opening of the 15th edition of the international photojournalism competition SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO took place at the Primate’s Palace in Bratislava.
The speakers included:
Tatiana Kratochvílová, Deputy Mayor of the Capital City of Bratislava,
Linda Kapustová Helbichová, Executive Director of the Visegrad Fund,
Miroslava Plassmann, CEO of WWF Slovakia,
Jana Hojstričová, guarantor of the SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO project,
Dorota Holubová, recipient of the Bratislava Grant 2025,
Tomáš Baršváry, winner of the SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO GRAND PRIX,
Tomáš Rafa, member of the video jury,
and Jana Garvoldtová, director of SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO.
During the conference, we officially launched the new edition of the competition, introduced the international jury, shared new information about the competition categories, and presented upcoming plans for both the SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO project and the international WATER project.
