Thanks to our cooperation with the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Permanent Mission of the Slovak Republic to the UN in New York, SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO has the honour to hold an exhibition at the United Nations in New York. The exhibition features Slovak photographers and offers a selection of award-winning photographs from the 5th and 6th edition of the contest. The exhibited images of different genres offer a wonderful mosaic collection of portraits, nature scenes, and cultural and sporting events that capture the contemporary issues of daily life in Slovakia and beyond.
The exhibition at the Permanent Mission of the Slovak Republic to the UN was opened by Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, President of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly, together with Mr. Michal Mlynár, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and Ms. Jana Garvoldtová, SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO Director, on 5 September 2018. The exhibition opening was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and of the Slovak community in New York.
The exhibition is on view till 14 September 2018.
